It's been a riveting episode of Teen Mom 2. A great way to round out the day.
I got up a little later than planned, and then rushed a little to get out the door on time.
I made progress today on my Cut & Sew, even though it took me a while to figure out one of the pattern pieces. By a while I mean it took me the same amount of time to make all the other pieces that it did to figure out this ONE piece. Ugh. Ridiculous.
Anyway, after class myself, trav.dav, e.jo, shubbly, and a.eng made our way to Eau Claire. That is, after we traveled all over the town, to all corners of the area! First we went to Robert Giede Designs to pick up tickets to a fashion show called Pardon that I have one garment in. It's in February, but I picked up the tickets right after they were printed (today) to ensure I got them and had everything squared away for my parents, grandparents and j.lou (all my fans!). Then we traveled to Brittany Courts (my and trav.dav's apartment complex) so trav.dav could drop a few things off. We meandered on over to shubbly's so she could drop off her stuff, and then picked up e.jo at the castle after her meeting. We stopped at her house so she could grab stuff and drop off her big bags. While we were there, Shubbly's roommate called and asked her to move her car. So we went back there and then headed down the road to Eau Claire. We hit up Joann Fabrics and Hancock Fabrics. I hate how Joann's sale table has things that are still $10 a yard. That is not a sale to me. I want cheap. That is why I love Hancock's value fabrics. Mills End usually has good sales as well, but the sales aren't evident, and are usually surprises. I like surprises but I would buy more if things were prices on the shelves (aka in the piles on the tables). However, I picked up at coupon for 50% off next week, so I'm going to buy a new pair of scissors. Some fancy ones. So I can actually cut fabric and not have to chew through it.
Side note: I have uncontrollable hiccups right now and feel like I almost might throw up. Cool.
Moving on.
We decided it necessary to visit Red Robin. Mostly because I had a free burger for my birthday month. HOLLER! Delicious Peppercorn burger. We had the most fries I've ever had there. We ordered a refill when we placed our actual order because we wanted to make sure we had enough, but then the refill came before the meal. It was awesome because it was like a nice little appetizer.
On the way home e.jo was having some problems with her stomach so we stopped at a gas station. While she tried to better the issue shubbly and trav.dav decided it necessary to try out this fun ride. Trav.dav eventually rode one backwards because that was the best way to do it.
Side note, today I walked past a tree that had buds on it. UHHH what..??? It's not spring...all the plants will die. Except for the ones in my apartment. Going strong! Except for my aloe...not sure about that baby...
Oh well. Work it out.
