No big deal, flew in from N'awlins last night. I would just like to comment that I did everything in only the local tradition. HA, or not. Well first of all it was an awesome trip, I got to eat at Mother's again, but I did not (sadly) see Adam Richman there. Therefore I could not make out with him, share a po'boy with him, or marry him.
Man he looks snazzy getting ready to munch on some grindage.
AnyWHO, back to my localization of myself in N'awlins. Just a few highlights:
My sister broke her foot on Bourbon Street. Now, this in itself is funny. HOWEVER, it just so happens that she broke the exact same bone in the exact same foot as I did. Which just so happens to be the same foot and bone my other sister broke. SO. No big deal.
Another item: I consumed multiple Hurricanes and now have my own recipe and will continue to consume them.
Everyone knows about Cafe Du Mondeand the glorious beignets and how you get covered in powdered sugar when you eat them. (I promise there are more photos to come that are actually from my trip, not just photos I stole from the internet) However, I decided to not make any attempt to lessen the amount of powdered sugar getting all over me and to just embrace it (in my black dress) and perhaps attempt to get even a little extra on myself. I may have sprinkled some in my hair. I would also like to point out that we caught people sneaking photos of me in all my powdered sugar glory. Little did they know if they had asked, I would have posed for photos and perhaps done tricks for their camera. So here's a tiddle of that beauty and a couple more photos I stole from my sister's blog.
Who took those amazing photos? And who checked her sister's blog to steal the photos one minute after they were posted? Just checking. Also - grits.
