Fran's eatin' the chaw-clutt!

I spent a glorious day with j.lou. I met her at Yang's Woodbury where we planned to have lunch, but it wasn't open for another hour. However, that led us to a mini drive through construction while listening to our fave Nicki Minaj and bustling into Target. I purchased the following things: Lion King Diamond Edition (With Soundtrack!), Hocus Pocus (The only copy I have is a VHS tape that we recorded it on from TV), owl post it notes, a large lighter (For my candle ADDICTION), and a giant hat that looks like a turkey (photo to follow soon). Can't WAIT for Thanksgiving! We then went to lunch and ordered approximately everything on the menu. It was delicious. I had the Grand Chicken and Wonton Soup, j.lou got Sesame Chicken and we shared Beef Lo Mein. All glorious.
We then hit up Savers. I got the most adorable antique jars. And I almost went overboard and bought eight thousand of them but we narrowed it down to three. I also found two dresses that are adorable. One of which I will be wearing to Rocky Horror when I go this Halloween, because I'm just a sweet transvestite. If you didn't get the reference please stop reading because you've upset me.
J.lou purchased two ADORABLE dresses. Both vintage. She was so cute trying them on. Also, she looks hella skinny in them. Damn girl's tiny waist!
Onward to Victoria's Secret. I had a $10 off coupon from j.lou and I wanted to snatch up a bra. Well I didn't want to get a $50 one because even with the coupon it would still cost more than the whole case of wine I was planning to buy. I couldn't find any that were under $50 with sufficient padding, so I relinquished the coupon to j.lou and told her I refuse to wait while she tries on bras again. Last time I had to go wait outside it took so long. Am I weird for never trying on bras at the store? I never do. I just know my size and I know I want the maximum amount of padding. My bad?
We THEN hit up Trader Joe's where I spent $100 of Wisconsin's money on the most glorious food. I got amazing cheeses and chips, canned goods, soups, and delicious goods. Then we hit up the wine section and I bought a case (sadly, I cannot use my foodshare money on alcohol, so I had to bust out the ole debit).
My neighbor, who happened to be shirtless in the parking lot when I arrived home, held open the door for me. His exact words, "Oh I saw you had your hands full---Oh...that's a lot of wine." I laughed and told him it was time to restock on my 2-buck-chuck. He approved.
Moving on.
J.lou and I then decided hey, why not eat some more? After all it's almost 5:00pm. So we hit up BWW. Known to j.lou and her beef as "the perfect date". I agree, it's a glorious place. I'm so glad she took me on a date there. I of course got the Mango Habenero, only after I attempted to order the Jammin' Jalopeno only to find out they were all out! It was an amazing snack as well.
So then I headed home with approximately six hundred pounds of leftovers and twelve hundred pounds of food. I also had my Savers and Target purchases.
It was a glorious day, and a much needed dose of my surrogate sister. That's what I've decided to call j.lou. Because she is SO much like my sisters, and I need that in my life more often than I get it. She also has a ton of the same childhood experiences as me, and she knows all my childhood movie quotes. I think I'll keep her.
So I spent a little time with e.nel and Rooney tonight. Just chillin with some Night at the Roxbury. I'm about to embark on some homework, laundry, and Chopped. Wish me luck.

  1. I'm assuming j.lou was also placed on the top shelf of a closet as a young girl? Made to sit in the dark furnace room as a toddler? Told she was brought by aliens? Just checking...
