Yesterday I left Menomonie to travel to Spread Eagle for Christmas festivities. Before I left, I wanted to have breakfast, however, I only had turkey bacon left. Seven pieces of turkey bacon. SO, I just ate it all. Also, I had a multi vitamin.
Upon arrival I was greated by my nephews, who later came upstairs adorned in a little holiday cheer.
Here is another adorable photo of one such nephew
We let the boys open their gifts from myself, The.tamer and two from G&G. I made them each their own wands, and they had the most adorable reactions when they opened their eyes (I had them close their eyes and then held the wands in front of them when they opened their eyes).
I got some gifts for the two of them to share, and the opening was ADORABLE.
Liam got his very own Harry Potter Lego Quidditch set from me, and was super excited upon opening it. He immediately began to construct. Max helped a little.
Maxwell got a basketball hoop from me, and was shooting his hoopies.
Moving on the the gifts I received.
Since my mom paid for my entire trip to New Orleans (With grandma's contribution of course) she got us all Christmas socks. Mine are ridiculously fabulous, and look like Santa's socks. Complete with buttons along the calf.
From saster: The book "Always, Karen" We heard of this book through our Unsolved Mysteries addiction. There is a miracle mystery that involves a girl named Karen dying from cancer. After her death, her parents meet with a medium to see if they can speak with her and they get to talk to her through the medium. Eventually, the mother learns to speak with Karen herself, and writes this book.
Also from Saster: the movie "Resurrection Mary" also based on an Unsolved Mystery we are overtly well versed on, Resurrection Mary is a young girl who died and whose spirit wanders the side of the road along Resurrection Cemetery. We are going to visit someday. And force the.tamer to come along.
From the.tamer: A certificate for $25 at tastebook.com. I can make my own recipe book! I'm so excited!
Unicorn Stompeez, slippers that look like unicorns, but the special part is, the eyes pop up every time you step. It's MAGNIFICENT. AAANNND a balancing bird! We all know of my previous blog post saying how I NEEDED one. And how I NEEDED it to be pink. Well she found me one. and I promptly balanced it on as many parts of my body as possible.
Here is a demonstration of how the Stompeez work:
And to top it off, here is a photo comparing my two sister's present wrapping skills.
