Ain't no big thang

Yesterday I missed a phone call while I was in Advanced Pattern. I decided, hey I'll just check that voicemail right now. WELL it was Kohl's calling me back after my interview with "exciting news".
Of course I shit myself and immediately pranced out of the room and called back. Only to be put on hold for 20 minutes, have my call "unable to transfer", and then proceed to call back to the woman's direct line approximately 400 times until 4:30 rolled around. I left one message. And every time my phone vibrated from a text, I shit myself and scrambled to get ahold of it.
WELL. I woke up this morning and called again. NO ANSWER. Called again, left another message and then decided I'll just wait. I had to continually remind myself that this woman's life was not entirely devoted to telling me the results of my interview. I had to remember. It was rough. So I got to work after digging around for approximately 4 hours to find my phone charger due to lack of battery in phone. I plugged in my phone at work and told our secretary and the other girl working in the office to holler for me if my phone went off and I wasn't in the room. So by now everyone I know is sitting on the edge of their seat in anticipation, if you couldn't tell.
I was standing right next to my phone and it rang, secretary was immediately aware, "Who is it?! OH PLEASE LET IT BE THEM!" It didn't look like the number and of course it wasn't them, it was a RECORDING. God. Waste of MY. LIFE.
So finally, I'm sitting at my desk (phone is plugged in across the room due to lack of outlets), and J comes in and right as she starts to ask me a question, my phone goes off. We both stop and stare at it. After the first ring I was like OH SHIT and jumped up and slithered across the room. I recognized the number and gobbled it up. It was the call I'd been so anxiously awaiting.
Of course she had to go through the formality of telling me I had great feedback (haha toot toot my own horn!) and that all three interviewers were very impressed with me (BEEP BEEP!) and then she FINALLLLY said, "So i have the pleasure of saying Congratulations, you are being offered an internship!"
She told me how she'd send me the stuff in the mail and I"d have to respond by such and such date and does the time frame work for me. My response, "Can I just say I accept right now?" She loved it and said she'd put it right down and that I'd still have to send in the paperwork saying I accept yadda yadda, but she loved my immediate yes answer.
So during this time boss comes in and gives me a look like "sooo???" and I gave her a thumbs up and she signaled she had tears in her eyes. She's a doll. Literally best boss ever. Then cute.d comes prancing in and gives me the same look, I signaled her as well. And also signaled "hey I love your baby deer sweater."
So I then had to call my entire family, OF COURSE. SO I called my dad first because i knew he'd probably be the most likely to answer because he's his own boss. So he was really excited and he literally melted my heart, "You need to be very proud of yourself. Those people know what they're doing and they chose you. You should be very impressed with yourself." Thanks daddy!
Then I call my mom, who didn't answer because she was at work. Then I called both my sisters, multiple times, and neither answered. So then I finally got a text saying, "Are you available for a call?" So I called and told them the news and they said they were so confused, they thought someone had died or something because I called so many times and only left a vague message saying to call me. Finally got ahold of my mom and she was stoked of course.
Then when I got home tonight my grandma called to congratulate me. She was adorable. She said "Well I thought I'd just give you a little jingle and say I heard the exciting news!"
I even got congratulations from my Biology group.
SO YEAH. Look at me I'm winning.
