Saturday went really well. J.lou and I awoke to watch Jersey Shore and make a half hearted breakfast of stale french bread (fondue leftovers) and the remainder of the cream cheese/bacon combo that didn't make it into the jalopeno poppers. It turned out quite nice, j.lou took the lead on this one, and baked them in the oven. Quite good.
We eventually made it out the door and into the lovely sunshine. We took off down the road to the great Eau Claire, where we went to various stores. At TJ Maxx we found this tiny tiny croc
It took us all of Friday and all of Saturday morning to figure out where we were going to eat lunch Saturday. After much deliberation and me forgetting various times when we eventually decided, we went to Red Robin. Mostly because we wanted lots of fries and an appetizer. I always as for a lot of ranch when I get french fries and burgers. This time we got an appetizer and we got to pick sauces. We picked Thai Chili Sauce and Ranch. Then when I ordered my burger I asked for a side of ranch. I don't just say a side of ranch, usually I say "a lot of ranch" and let them figure it out. Well our appetizer came and there were three sides of ranch and no thai chili sauce. Then when our burgers came there were three more sides of ranch. It was intense and hilarious and excessive. All words I love. So we had leftovers.
Then comes the truly best part of the day. We had planned to make a delectable bacon wrapped buffalo wing. It truly was j.lou's idea, and we converged together to create it. Let me just say we really did a fantastic job. Really effing awesome.
It was disgusting when we were breading them:
It got better and smelled really effing fantastic while we were cooking them. We went outside so as to not set off the smoke alarm, which happens pretty often here. It was warm enough for us to just chill out there.
They pretty much looked gross until they were done. Then they looked fucking fantastic.
While we were shopping we had bought three candles for supreme melting. The clown one was definitely the creepiest, and it dripped the best. So that worked out. If you didn't know I have an extreme candle melting obsession. It is almost like therapy for me. It's a very calming thing to play with candle wax. Try it one day. You will feel the power of Zeus for sure. I took photos during the progression of the candle extravaganza, which took place during the viewing of the following films: Alice in Wonderland (mostly napped during that), Peter Pan (the wings were consumed during this), James and the Giant Peach, and The Secret Garden. It was a truly fantastic day and night.
That melted clown will give me nightmares for weeks...
